Kathmandu, February 16, 2025 – The Visually Impaired World Tour Cultural Program officially commenced in a grand opening ceremony held on February 15, 2025, in Gokarneshwar-1, Nayapati, Kathmandu, Nepal. Organized by Blind Mothers Home(Dristibihin Amaghar) and media partner Global Online Television the initiative aims to raise funds for building a dedicated blind home while showcasing the extraordinary talents of visually impaired artists. The blinds and disabilities are living in a temporary house, living more than 66 disabilities in a home. To make a permanent house, the total cost of 4 crore is huge amount for blinds individuals.
The event featured mesmerizing performances, including traditional Nepali music, Lok pop songs, Lok dohori songs and Folk song, cultural dance, all performed by visually impaired individuals and sighted artists. Distinguished guests, social activists, other medias and supporters of the cause attended the program, extending their encouragement and solidarity.
“This tour is not just about entertainment; it is about breaking barriers, proving that blindness is not a limitation, and creating a sustainable future for visually impaired individuals,” said a representative from Blind Mothers Home’s chairman Tek Bahadur Magrati. In the program, other medias also participated to disseminate news.
The Visually Impaired World Tour Cultural Program will continue to various national cities and international destinations, spreading awareness and raising support for the construction of the blind home in Nepal.
