Beijing, 30 Aug: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived in North China’s Tianjin city on Saturday during a five-day visit to the People’s Republic of China.
At the formal invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Oli led a Nepalese delegation to Tianjin to participate in the 25th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the 80th anniversary of the World War against Fascism and the victory of the Chinese people against the Japanese invasion.
He was welcomed at Tianjin Binhai International Airport by Minister and Secretary of the Customs Committee of the Communist Party of China, Sun Meijun; Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress, Yu Yunil; Nepali Ambassador to China Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli; and others, after arriving on a chartered flight of Himalayan Airlines.
The delegation includes First Lady Radhika Shakya, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Nepali Congress MP Purna Bahadur Khadka, Education, Science and Technology Minister Raghuji Pant, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey, Prime Minister’s Economic and Development Adviser Dr. Yuvraj Khativada, CPN (UML) MP Chabi Lal Bishwakarma, Foreign Ministry Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and other high-ranking officials of the Government of Nepal.
The number of heads of state, heads of government and heads of international organizations from various countries is continuing to come to China to participate in the event . United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Acting President of Myanmar also arrived in China on Saturday.

Meeting between Prime Minister Oli and Chinese President Xi
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chinese President Xi Jinping have met. At the friendly invitation of President Xi of China, Prime Minister Oli, leading a Nepali delegation , arrived at Tianjin Binhai International Airport at 3:15 pm local time on a special plane of Himalaya Airlines.
He was welcomed by high-ranking officials of the Chinese government, Nepal’s Ambassador to China Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song, among others.
