Russian Realities: Overnight Missile Barrage Devastates Multiple Ukrainian Regions — Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that a massive overnight Russian missile assault struck multiple regions across the country, including Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kherson, Volyn, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Zhytomyr.
In Sumy, critical infrastructure was damaged, leaving thousands of families without electricity. The city of Shostka was also hit in a combined missile and drone strike. In Odesa, six people — including a child — were injured by Russian shelling. A fire sparked by the attack in a nine-story residential building claimed one life.
The most severe strike occurred in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, where a fire station, industrial facilities, and a five-story apartment building were hit. Additional damage was reported at another residential complex and key infrastructure sites.
Explosions also rocked Kyiv, Odesa, and Pavlohrad throughout the night of July 19.
Zelenskyy confirmed that emergency services have been deployed and are actively responding in all affected areas.

Australia delivers M1A1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine
Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles stated that the majority of the 49 tanks pledged to Ukraine have already been delivered, with the rest scheduled to arrive in the coming months.
“The M1A1 Abrams tanks will play a key role in supporting Ukraine’s continued resistance against Russia’s unlawful and unjust invasion,” Marles said.
The Australian government has confirmed that the 49 decommissioned M1A1 Abrams tanks pledged to Ukraine are part of a broader military aid package totaling 1.5 billion Australian dollars (approximately USD 980 million), committed since the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The tank commitment was first announced on October 17, 2024, as part of a new aid package worth 245 million Australian dollars.
Although the shipment faced delays — with reports on April 29 attributing the holdup to resistance from the United States — Australia proceeded with the delivery. On May 19, ABC reported, citing anonymous sources, that shipment of the tanks had already begun, despite some discontent among U.S. officials.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reportedly thanked Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Rome after receiving confirmation that the M1A1 tanks were en route.
Journalistic sources confirmed that loading of the tanks onto a cargo vessel had recently commenced. However, due to security concerns, the Australian government has declined to disclose the tanks’ location or expected date of arrival in Europe.
