Kathmandu, 18 February: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the Rastra Bank, the value of the US dollar has risen again.
The buying rate of one US dollar has been set at 138 rupees 71 paisa and the selling rate at 139 rupees 31 paisa, while the buying rate of one European euro has been set at 145 rupees 40 paisa and the selling rate at 146 rupees 3 paisa. The buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been fixed at 174 rupees 75 paisa and the selling rate at 175 rupees 51 paisa. The buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at 153 rupees 99 paisa and the selling rate at 154 rupees 66 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 88 rupees 23 paisa and the selling rate at 88 rupees 62 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 97 rupees 73 paisa and the selling rate at 98 rupees 15 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 103 rupees 41 paisa and the selling rate at 103 rupees 86 paisa, according to the central bank.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen is 9 rupees 14 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 18 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese Yuan is 19 rupees 10 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 18 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian Riyal is 36 rupees 98 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 14 paisa, and the buying rate of one Qatari Riyal is 38 rupees 5 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 22 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 4 rupees 12 paisa and the selling rate is 4 rupees 13 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 37 rupees 77 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 93 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 31 rupees 28 paisa and the selling rate is 31 rupees 42 paisa, the buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees 61 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 65 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 96 paisa and the selling rate is 13 rupees 1 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees 49 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 58 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 83 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 91 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 449 rupees 47 paisa and the selling rate at 451 rupees 41 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 368 rupees 4 paisa and the selling rate at 369 rupees 63 paisa, and the buying rate of one Omani rial at 360 rupees 28 paisa and the selling rate at 361 rupees 83 paisa.
Similarly, the buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees has been fixed at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa. The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as per the need. It is mentioned that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website. —
