US dollar remains stable, other currencies fluctuate

Kathmandu, January 6: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the exchange rates set by the central bank, the value of some foreign currencies, including the US dollar, has remained stable today. The European Euro, UK Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Danish Krone, and Omani Rial have increased in value. Similarly, the value of the Canadian Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Thai Baht, and Bahraini Dinar has decreased.

The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 136 rupees 94 paisa and the selling rate at 137 rupees 54 paisa. The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 141 rupees 17 paisa and the selling rate at 141 rupees 79 paisa, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been fixed at 170 rupees 10 paisa and the selling rate at 170 rupees 85 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at 150 rupees 76 paisa and the selling rate at 151 rupees 42 paisa.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 85 rupees 09 paisa and the selling rate at 85 rupees 47 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 94 rupees 78 paisa and the selling rate at 95 rupees 20 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 99 rupees 95 paisa and the selling rate at 100 rupees 39 paisa. The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 8 rupees 71 paisa and the selling rate is 8 rupees 74 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese yuan is 18 rupees 71 paisa and the selling rate is 18 rupees 79 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian riyal is 36 rupees 46 paisa and the selling rate is 36 rupees 62 paisa, and the buying rate of one Qatari riyal is 37 rupees 56 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 72 paisa.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht has been set at 3 rupees 97 paisa and the selling rate at 3 rupees 99 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham at 37 rupees 28 paisa and the selling rate at 37 rupees 45 paisa, and the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit at 30 rupees 43 paisa and the selling rate at 30 rupees 56 paisa. The buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees 32 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 36 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 32 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 38 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 18 rupees 93 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 01 paisa.

The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 61 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 68 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 443 rupees 80 paisa and the selling rate at 445 rupees 75 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 363 rupees 24 paisa and the selling rate at 364 rupees 83 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 356 rupees 15 paisa and the selling rate at 357 rupees 71 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Indian rupee has been set at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.

The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as needed. It is also stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
