To develop the tourism sector, it is necessary to treat everyone well: Home Minister Lekhak

Bhairahawa (Rupandehi), 4 March: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that it is necessary to treat everyone well to develop the tourism sector. Inaugurating the Immigration Office at Belahiya, Rupandehi, during a program today, he urged the employees working at the Immigration Office to behave politely, simply and sweetly with tourists and public service recipients.

Stating that the behavior of employees reveals the state of the country, Home Minister Lekhak instructed the employees to provide service in a conscious and cordial manner. “Immigration is the mirror of the country,” he said, “Employees should provide service in a civilized and polite manner. Sometimes tourists and other service recipients may get angry when the paperwork is not completed, but in such cases, employees should present themselves politely. They should work with the spirit of service. Employees are not allowed to get angry and mistreat service recipients.”

Home Minister Lekhak said that the infrastructure built here has established the Belahiya border crossing in Rupandehi as the largest border crossing in the country. He said that there are 13 immigration offices in the border area of ​​the country and these offices have made it easier for tourists to travel around Nepal.

“In recent days, tourist arrivals from all the checkpoints have been good. Since this place is the birthplace of Buddha, there is potential for religious tourism. The government is creating a tourism-friendly environment and is managing the arrival of tourists,” said Home Minister Lekhak. “The government’s goal is to increase tourist arrivals. When tourists increase, it will make the country economically prosperous.”

Stating that Nepalis are citizens raised in the best culture in the world, Home Minister Lekhak said that tourists will understand Nepal the way they are treated at the immigration office. He said that the current government is pursuing prosperity.

“The government is working to control corruption, maintain good governance, and create an investment- and business-friendly environment,” said Home Minister Lekhak. “Even if the results are not immediately visible, they will come gradually.” He said that the government is working to protect the constitution and prioritize sustainable peace, development, and prosperity in the country.

Home Minister Lekhak said that there have been good signs in the country’s economy in recent times. “The private sector has appreciated the government’s work. We have issued some ordinances to solve the problems seen in the economy, everyone has praised the contents included in those ordinances and suggested that they be implemented quickly,” he said. Home Minister Lekhak claimed that the ordinance would be passed in some time and that further improvements would be made in the economic sector.

At the same program, Siddharthanagar Municipality Mayor Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan said that they are committed to the development of this place as it is the gateway to Lumbini. He said that the dust has been bothering locals and tourists due to the lack of construction of the road in the border area for a long time. “With the development of this place, the country has many bases to take a leap in the tourism sector,” said Mayor Khan.

The office building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 102.5 million. The building is disability-friendly and earthquake-resistant and has fire control equipment installed.
