Kathmandu, 11 June: Ride-sharing service provider Pathao Nepal has now made it mandatory to pass with at least 80% marks to become a rider. With the aim of making its service safer and more quality-oriented, the company stated that this provision has been introduced for those who wish to become riders.
Pathao has been implementing a mandatory online training and examination system for rider registration as part of its initial process to ensure the quality, safety, and service experience of riders, informed Marketing Head Suraksha Hamal. She stated that since the beginning of its services, Pathao has adhered to the criteria that riders must be proficient in digital systems, customer service, and traffic discipline.
To become a rider on Pathao, interested individuals must submit their vehicle bluebook, driver’s license (license), and third-party insurance. After submitting these documents, they are enrolled in an online training session. Here, they learn how to interact with customers, use digital wallets, accept orders on the app, as well as the company’s rules and regulations.
After the training, riders must score at least 80% in the online examination. Those who fail will have to retake the training the next day, shared Hamal.
“We have been strictly enforcing this process from the very beginning. We are continuously working on our mission to make every rider responsible, knowledgeable, and user-friendly,” she said.
