Damauli (Tanahun), 27 Ashoj(13 October): Foreign tourists who came to visit Bandipur, a tourist town of Tanahun, were shocked to see Dashain tika. Tourists from different countries, who have been in Bandipur for a few days, were delighted to take Dashain tika on Saturday. They were staying at the Hotel Himalaya Darbar in Bandipur and were given a tika and jamara by the hotel owner. Baisha Gurung, the owner of the hotel, said that after putting on Dashain Tika and Jamara, the tourists expressed their happiness and inquired about this festival.
He said, “We found that foreign tourists are curious about Nepali customs and culture. After inquiring about Dashain, we informed about this festival.” He said that he bid farewell to the foreign tourists who were visiting Bandipur for a few days with Dashain Tika. Gurung said that with the beginning of Dashain, the movement of foreign tourists started in Bandipur. He said, “Now is the time for tourist activity in Bandipur. The arrival of foreign tourists is increasing.”
