(240914) — LITANG, Sept. 14, 2024 (Xinhua) — This photo taken on Sept. 13, 2024 shows a strawberry planting base in a modern agricultural park in Litang County, the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Garze, southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Litang County in Sichuan Province’s Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, at an average altitude of over 4,000 meters, faced significant challenges in growing fruits and vegetables. Since 2016, the development of the Litang County’s modern agricultural parks and the application of digital farming techniques have allowed high-altitude residents access to fresh produce. By 2023, the park had an output value of 420 million yuan (about 59.22 million US dollars), contributing to a total farmers’ income of 24.08 million yuan (about 3.39 million US dollars).
