Blind mothers’ home(Dristibihin Amaghar) under construction

Kathmandu, 31 January – A new home for blind mothers is currently under construction in Gokarneshwar-4, Maiti Nepal, Kathmandu, made possible through a loan initiative aimed at providing shelter and support to visually impaired mothers in need.

The project, which began since one month, is expected to offer a safe and comfortable environment for blind mothers and their children. The funding has been secured through a personal loan has been spent 2.7 million rupees, ensuring that the initiative moves forward despite financial challenges. It is estimated to cost around 4 crore rupees.

According to Tek Bahadur Magrati, the chairman of Dristibihin Amaghar said, the home will include essential facilities such as  more than 200 blinds and disabilities to live, children nursery education school, accessible infrastructure for children care and grocery store. The initiative is part of a broader effort to support visually impaired individuals and promote inclusivity.

“We believe this home will provide not just shelter but also a sense of security and empowerment to blind mothers who often face unique challenges,” said Tek Bahadur Magrati.

The construction is expected to be completed by one year. Once operational, the home will provide long-term support, including skills training and employment opportunities, to help the residents achieve independence.

Community members and organizations are encouraged to support the project through donations and volunteer efforts.

Agreement with Global Online Media to disseminate information

In a significant step toward supporting visually impaired mothers, Dristibihin Amaghar has entered into an agreement with Global Online Media to disseminate information to raise funds for the construction of a dedicated home for blind mothers home.

The partnership aims to generate financial support through online campaigns, donor outreach, and global awareness initiatives. With this collaboration, the project seeks to provide a safe and supportive living environment for blind mothers and their children.

“We are excited to join hands with Global Online Media in this mission. Their expertise in digital disseminate information for fundraising and media outreach will play a crucial role in helping us reach donors worldwide,” said Tek Bahadur Magrati.

The funds raised will go toward building accessible facilities equipped with essential amenities, including all primary facilities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to empower visually impaired mothers home by providing them with secure housing and opportunities for independence.

Supporters can contribute to the cause through online donation platforms, social media campaigns, and crowdfunding events organized by Global Online Media.

Visually Impaired Community Plans National and International Cultural Programs to Raise Funds for Home Construction

In a remarkable initiative, the visually impaired community is set to organize national and international cultural programs with media partner Global Online Television to raise funds for the construction of a dedicated home for blind mothers.

The fundraising events will showcase the talents of visually impaired artists, featuring music, dance, drama, and traditional performances from various cultures. These programs aim to highlight the artistic abilities of visually impaired individuals while generating financial support for the much-needed housing project.

“Our goal is not just to raise funds but also to spread awareness about the challenges faced by blind disabilities, mental disabilities and body disabilities. Through cultural expression, we want to inspire people to contribute to this meaningful cause,” said Tek Bahadur Magrati.

The events will be held both in-person and virtually, allowing audiences worldwide to participate and support the initiative. Global donors, organizations, and well-wishers are encouraged to contribute to the cause.

Proceeds from the cultural programs will go directly toward the construction of a fully accessible home, designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for visually impaired mothers and their children.

“We have own musician, folk singers, pop singers and dancers as well to make wonderful cultural programs. I request to all persons, organizations, media and social workers national and international to support us to arrange cultural programs.
