Kathmandu, 27 February: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rate for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar today is 139 rupees 24 paisa and the selling rate is 139 rupees 84 paisa.
For today, the buying rate of one European Euro has been set at 146 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate at 146 rupees 76 paisa, the buying rate of one UK Pound Sterling at 176 rupees 06 paisa and the selling rate at 176 rupees 81 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss Franc at 155 rupees 45 paisa and the selling rate at 156 rupees 12 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at 87 rupees 94 paisa and the selling rate at 88 rupees 32 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 97 rupees 11 paisa and the selling rate at 97 rupees 53 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 104 rupees 05 paisa and the selling rate at 104 rupees 50 paisa.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 9 rupees 31 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 35 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese yuan is 19 rupees 18 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 27 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian riyal is 37 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 29 paisa, the buying rate of one Qatari riyal is 38 rupees 20 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 36 paisa, the bank said.
Similarly, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 4 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate is 4 rupees 15 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 37 rupees 91 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 08 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 31 rupees 44 paisa and the selling rate is 31 rupees 57 paisa, the buying rate of one South Korean won is 9 rupees 70 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 75 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 13 rupees 12 paisa and the selling rate is 13 rupees 17 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees 59 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 68 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 91 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 99 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 451 rupees 40 paisa and the selling rate at 453 rupees 35 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 369 rupees 41 paisa and the selling rate at 371, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 361 rupees 66 paisa and the selling rate at 363 rupees 22 paisa. The buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as per the need. However, the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
