Kathmandu – Nepal Airlines Corporation’s narrow body ‘Sagarmatha’ was grounded for the second time in three days on Tuesday, affecting around 800 passengers in Kathmandu, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Dubai and Doha. The flight was canceled due to the problem that occurred when one of the hydraulic systems of the plane was opened.
The flight to Hong Kong schedule for Tuesday was canceled due to negligence in the maintenance of the narrow body ‘Sagarmatha’ which was grounded at 12 o’clock on Saturday night. The narrow body of the aircraft was repaired by the team of engineer Pawan Karwal of the corporation.
The narrow body Sagarmatha was preparing to fly from Kathmandu to Hong Kong at 11 am on Tuesday with 156 passengers. After sudden cancellation of the flight, we kept the passengers in the Radisson Lounge for the whole day, and the evening we made arrangements at hotels around Gaushala.
