Kathmandu, 17th January: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rate for today. According to the fixed exchange rate, the value of the US dollar has set a new record. The continuously rising US dollar has also increased today.
The European Euro, UK Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Japanese Yen, Chinese Yuan, Saudi Arabian Riyal, Qatari Riyal, Thai Baht, UAE Dirham, Malaysian Ringgit, South Korean Won, Swedish Krona, Hong Kong Dollar, Kuwaiti Dinar, Bahraini Dinar and Omani Rial have appreciated in value. Similarly, the Canadian Dollar has depreciated, while the value of some other foreign currencies has remained stable.
According to the National Bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 138 rupees 19 paisa and the selling rate at 138 rupees 79 paisa. The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 142 rupees 17 paisa and the selling rate at 142 rupees 79 paisa, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been fixed at 168 rupees 67 paisa and the selling rate at 169 rupees 41 paisa, the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at 151 rupees 54 paisa and the selling rate at 152 rupees 20 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 85 rupees 83 paisa and the selling rate at 86 rupees 20 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 96 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate at 96 rupees 55 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 101 rupees 07 paisa and the selling rate at 101 rupees 51 paisa.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen is 8 rupees 87 paisa and the selling rate is 8 rupees 91 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese Yuan is 18 rupees 85 paisa and the selling rate is 18 rupees 93 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian Riyal is 36 rupees 83 paisa and the selling rate is 36 rupees 99 paisa, and the buying rate of one Qatari Riyal is 37 rupees 92 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 08 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 4 rupees and the selling rate is 4 rupees 01 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 37 rupees 62 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 79 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 30 rupees 69 paisa and the selling rate is 30 rupees 83 paisa, the buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees 48 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 52 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 38 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 44 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees 5 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 14 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 74 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 82 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 447 rupees 80 paisa and the selling rate at 449 rupees 74 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 366 rupees 61 paisa and the selling rate at 368 rupees 20 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 358 rupees 95 paisa and the selling rate at 360 rupees 51 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees has been set at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as needed. It is stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
