Kathmandu, 14 February: The world will witness the grand opening of the Visually Impaired World Tour Cultural Program, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to celebrating the talents, creativity, and resilience of visually impaired artists in Gokarneswar-1, Nayapati, Kathmandu on 15 February 2025 with media partner Global Online Television to raise the fund to make a permanent house for visually impaired communities. This unique cultural program aims to promote inclusivity, raise awareness, and showcase the extraordinary contributions of visually impaired individuals to the arts and culture.
The opening day will feature a vibrant lineup of performances, including pop songs, folk songs, live dohori, cultural dance and speech of people’s representatives and all designed to be accessible and immersive for both visually impaired and sighted audiences. The event will take place at Blind Mothers Home(Dristibihin Aamaghar) Social Organization, with live streaming available for audiences to join in the celebration. There are more than 66 blinds members living temporary house since 7 years in Dristibihin Aamaghar.
Organizer, Global Online Television media partner of the program emphasizes its mission to break down barriers and foster a deeper understanding of the capabilities and creativity of visually impaired individuals. “This is more than just a cultural event; it’s a movement to inspire change and celebrate diversity,” said Madan Thami, chairman of Global Online Television.

The tour will travel to multiple cities in Nepal and worldwide throughout 2025 for fundraising to build a house to live visually impaired communities.
