Kathmandu, 20 December: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for Monday. The value of the US dollar remained stable today. The euro, pound sterling, Swiss franc, Australian, Canadian and Singapore dollars, Japanese yen, Saudi riyal, Thai baht, South Korean won, Swedish and Danish kroner, Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinars and Omani rial have all raised in value.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 135 rupees 73 paisa and the selling rate at 136 rupees 33 paisa. The buying rate of one euro has been fixed at 141 rupees 57 paisa and the selling rate at 142 rupees 19 paisa, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been fixed at 170 rupees 62 paisa and the selling rate at 171 rupees 37 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at 151 rupees 98 paisa and the selling rate at 152 rupees 66 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 84 rupees 84 paisa and the selling rate at 85 rupees 21 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 94 rupees 45 paisa and the selling rate at 94 rupees 87 paisa, the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 100 rupees 15 paisa and the selling rate at 100 rupees 60 paisa. The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 8 rupees 68 paisa and the selling rate is 8 rupees 72 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Chinese yuan is 18 rupees 60 paisa and the selling rate is 18 rupees 68 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Saudi Arabian riyal is 36 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate is 36 rupees 29 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Qatari riyal is 37 rupees 24 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 40 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 3 rupees 97 paisa and the selling rate is 3 rupees 99 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 36 rupees 95 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 12 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 30 rupees 11 paisa and the selling rate is 30 rupees 24 paisa, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won is 9 rupees 38 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 42 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 30 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 36 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 18 rupees 98 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 06 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 46 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 53 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 440 rupees 61 paisa and the selling rate at 442 rupees 56 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 360 rupees 03 paisa and the selling rate at 361 rupees 62 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 352 rupees 53 paisa and the selling rate at 354 rupees 09 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Indian rupee has been set at 160Â rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The National Bank has stated that the exchange rate presented can be revised at any time as needed. The central bank has stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ.
