US dollar stable, euro and pound sterling rise

Kathmandu, December 31: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the fixed exchange rate, the value of the US dollar has remained stable. The European Euro, UK Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Japanese Yen, Malaysian Ringgit, Swedish Krona, Danish Krone, Kuwaiti Dinar, Hong Kong Dollar, Kuwaiti Dinar, Bahraini Dinar have increased in value. Similarly, while the value of the Bahraini Dinar has decreased, the value of some foreign currencies has remained stable.

According to the fixed rate, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 136 rupees 56 paisa and the selling rate at 137 rupees 16 paisa. The buying rate of one European Euro has been set at 142 rupees 67 paisa and the selling rate at 143 rupees 30 paisa, the buying rate of one UK Pound Sterling at 172 rupees 9 paisa and the selling rate at 172 rupees 84 paisa, the buying rate of one Swiss Franc at 151 rupees 46 paisa and the selling rate at 152 rupees 12 paisa.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 85 rupees 23 paisa and the selling rate at 85 rupees 61 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 94 rupees 99 paisa and the selling rate at 95 rupees 41 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 100 rupees 72 paisa and the selling rate at 101 rupees 17 paisa.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 8 rupees 66 paisa and the selling rate is 8 rupees 70 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Chinese yuan is 18 rupees 71 paisa and the selling rate is 18 rupees 79 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Saudi Arabian riyal is 36 rupees 37 paisa and the selling rate is 36 rupees 53 paisa, and the buying rate of 1 Qatari riyal is 37 rupees 46 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 62 paisa. 

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht has been set at four rupees and one paisa and the selling rate at four rupees and three paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham has been set at 37 rupees and 18 paisa and the selling rate at 37 rupees and 34 paisa, and the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit has been set at 30 rupees and 58 paisa and the selling rate at 30 rupees and 72 paisa.

The buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees 27 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 31 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 42 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 47 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 21 paisa.

The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 60 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 68 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 443 rupees 30 paisa and the selling rate at 445 rupees 25 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 361 rupees 99 paisa and the selling rate at 363 rupees 58 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani Rial at 354 rupees 68 paisa and the selling rate at 356 rupees 24 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Indian rupee has been set at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.

The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as needed. It is also stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
