Madhyabindu (Nawalparasi), Sept 7: A woman and her seven-year-old grandson were killed in a road accident that took place in Bhesakhori of Gaindakot municipality-10 last night. The deceased have been identified as Srimaya Manandhar,55, and her grandson Bishal Shrestha of the same locality. Bishal died on the spot while his grandmother Srimaya succumbed to her injuries at the local hospital. They were hit by a passenger bus (Na. Kha. 2525) on the East-West highway, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, Bed Bahadur Poudel. The bus has been impounded and its driver taken into police custody.
