Eleven Nepalis arrived in Mashhad on Sunday night after traveling nearly 900 kilometers from Tehran, the capital of Iran. They made the journey to Mashhad, another city in Iran, after the Indian Embassy in Iran agreed to carry out their rescue.
“We, all 11 of us, safely arrived in Mashhad on Sunday night. We didn’t face any difficulties along the way. We are currently staying in a hotel,” said Hari Thapa from Udayapur, who reached Mashhad. “India has assured us that we are being given priority for evacuation. We are now waiting for the flight.”
According to them, the flight schedule has not yet been confirmed.
Those who arrived in Mashhad include Hari Thapa from Udayapur, his son Utsav Thapa, his wife Gayatri Karki Thapa, Bishnu Prasad Bhusal, Buddhi Bhusal, Sagar Paudel, Ganesh Pokhrel, Suman Gaire, Bishnu Prasad Banjade, Yagya Marasini, and Raju Khanal from Butwal.
Among them, it has been reported that Bishnu Prasad Banjade does not have a passport, which makes it impossible for him to board the flight immediately.
According to the Nepali Embassy in Doha, coordination is ongoing with the 11 Nepalis. They had been working at various embassies and Iranian restaurants in Tehran, ranging in age from 8 to 24 years.
The embassy also stated that five Nepalis are still in jail in Tehran, Iran, and the process to rescue them is currently underway.

Israeli Attack on Iran’s Missile Industry; Trump Advocates for Regime Change in Iran
The Israel–Iran conflict has continued into its tenth day. On Sunday midnight, the Israeli Air Force bombed a ballistic missile engine manufacturing facility in Shahroud, Iran.
This region lies approximately 2,000 kilometers away from Israel. The attack destroyed several machines and other equipment used for manufacturing missile engines. In addition to this, Israel also carried out airstrikes in Tehran, Kermanshah, and Hamadan.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has spoken in favor of regime change in Iran. On social media, he stated, “If the current government in Iran cannot make Iran great again, then why not regime change? Make Iran Great Again.”
On Sunday, the United States participated in the war by striking three nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The operation involved the use of seven B-2 stealth bombers. In retaliation, Iran also launched an attack on Israel on Sunday, damaging some structures in Nes Ziona.
