Kaski, 2 February: The organizing team has won the Tiger Cup Volleyball title organized by Tiger Group of Pokhara. The organizing team has won the women’s title in the Tiger Cup national and international women’s and men’s volleyball competition.
The host team won the title for the first time, defeating the previous edition’s winner, the Armed Police Force (APF) Club, by 3-2 sets in a competitive match held at the Pokhara Stadium today. Tiger Group, who emerged as the champion, received a cash prize of Rs. 585,555, while APF, who emerged as the runner-up, received Rs. 285,555.
The home team, which lost the first set 17-25, won the second set 29-27. The home team, which lost the third set 21-25 to APF, won the fourth set 25-16, pushing the match to a fifth set. The host team won the title after putting up an excellent performance in the fifth set and winning 15-13. Similarly, a match for the men’s title in the competition will be held shortly between the Gandaki Province Volleyball Association and the Police Club of the Departmental Nepal Police. The winner of the competition will receive a prize of Rs. 585,555.
