Kathmandu, December 28: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for Saturday. The value of the US dollar has been continuously increasing according to the fixed exchange rate. Similarly, the value of the European Euro, UK Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Chinese Yuan, Saudi Arabian Riyal, Qatari Riyal, UAE Dirham, Malaysian Ringgit, Swedish Krona, Danish Krona, Hong Kong Dollar, Kuwaiti Dinar, Bahraini Dinar and Omani Rial has increased. Similarly, the value of the Japanese Yen and South Korean Won has decreased.
According to the determined rate, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 136 rupees and 13 paisa and the selling rate at 136 rupees and 73 paisa. The buying rate of one European Euro has been set at 141 rupees 58 paisa and the selling rate at 142 rupees 21 paisa, the buying rate of one UK Pound Sterling at 170 rupees 58 paisa and the selling rate at 171 rupees 34 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss Franc at 151 rupees 27 paisa and the selling rate at 151 rupees 94 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 84 rupees 85 paisa and the selling rate at 85 rupees 22 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 94 rupees 64 paisa and the selling rate at 95 rupees 06 paisa, the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 100 rupees 23 paisa and the selling rate at 100 rupees 67 paisa. The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 8 rupees 64 paisa and the selling rate is 8 rupees 68 paisa. The buying rate of 1 Chinese yuan is 18 rupees 65 paisa and the selling rate is 18 rupees 73 paisa. The buying rate of 1 Saudi Arabian riyal is 36 rupees 25 paisa and the selling rate is 36 rupees 41 paisa. The buying rate of 1 Qatari riyal is 37 rupees 35 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 52 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht has been set at 3 rupees 98 paisa and the selling rate at 4 rupees 00 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham at 37 rupees 06 paisa and the selling rate at 37 rupees 23 paisa , and the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit at 30 rupees 46 paisa and the selling rate at 30 rupees 60 paisa. The buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees 29 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 33 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 31 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 36 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 18 rupees 98 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 06 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 53 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 60 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 441 rupees 68 paisa and the selling rate at 443 rupees 63 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 360 rupees 75 paisa and the selling rate at 362 rupees 34 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 353 rupees 57 paisa and the selling rate at 355 rupees 12 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Indian rupee has been set at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as needed. It is also stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
