The US even deported people who violated traffic rules

Kathmandu, 5 Sep: 19 Nepali People have been deported by the US, landed at Tribhuvan international airport on Thursday. They were brought to Kathmandu on a US chartered flight.

The Immigration Office took details of the deportees and submitted them to the Police’s Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau. Among the deportees were 17 men and 2 women.

On Thursday night, the bureau at Babarmahal conducted a general interrogation of them and handed them over to their relatives. The bureau also urged them to file a complaint if anyone had lured them to America illegally.

According to the bureau’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Krishna Pangeni, no one has filed a complaint so far. Those deported from the US have been accused of everything from living in the US illegally to violating its immigration laws.

Some have been deported for violating general rules. Traffic rules have been cited as the reason for the student’s deportation. An investigating officer said that the deported man was found to have violated traffic rules twice.

Although he resides legally in the United States according to US law, he has been deported simply for violating the rules there.

Deportation even DV holder

 On 26 Jestha 2082, one of the 37 people deported was a person who had gone to the US on a DV. He had been living in Texas, having moved to the US 10 years ago. He was deported after a family dispute there. After a family dispute, Texas police arrested him and took him away. Some time later, he was deported and returned to Kathmandu. He and 37 others, including those with permanent residence in Kathmandu, were brought to Kathmandu by a chartered plane.

202 Nepalis deported after Trump

After being elected President of the United States, Donald Trump took a tough stance on illegal immigrants, launching a campaign to deport immigrants who are in the United States illegally.

Since Trump took office as president, 202 Nepalis have been deported from the United States since January 20.

According to the Immigration Department, there are 22 women and 180 men. It is said that most of those who were returned, were reached the US through the illegal route.

The bureau said that the situation of people deported from the US is similar. Those who sold their homes and farms and took out loans and moved to the US, spending millions of rupees, are now being deported in droves following Trump’s policies.

In fact, even before Trump took office, Nepalese who were illegally present were being deported from the United States.
