There is a problem for tourists due to the lack of footpaths leading to the snow leopard cave in Gharpajhong rural municipalty-5 in Mustang. The snow leopard cave which has the potential to make the tourists who come to visit Mustang an extend their stay, has been overshadowed due to the lack of infrastructure.
After the footpath build uphill from the Jomsom-Thini-Dhumbatal road leading to the cave collapsed, tourists are having trouble reaching there. It has been said that if about 300 footpaths can be constructed, it will be easy for tourists come and go.
In the area where the cave is located, the rare wild animal snow leopard comes and both cave and snow leopard are propagated, it is named " snow leopard cave". From Jomsom bazar, you can reach the cave by 10 minutes drive and 5 minutes walk.
