Warsaw, (Poland) 5 December: There have been news that some Nepalese have been deported in Poland in recent days. This type of deportation is mostly caused by violation of legal boundaries, error in documents, or illegal settlement and work.
Many Nepalese students, workers, and other individuals from Schengen countries continue to come to Poland seeking opportunities in European countries. However, it is very important to pay attention to some legal and practical issues when coming to Poland. In this article, there is information on what to do and what not to do in such situations.
Important information for Nepalese coming from other Schengen countries in Poland:-
1. Things to understand the limitations of Schengen resident card:
– Schengen resident card only allows to visit other Schengen countries for 90 days.
– Cannot work: This card does not provide the legal right to do any kind of work in other countries.
– If anyone comes to Poland and works based on Schengen resident card, it’s considered illegal.
– This could face legal action as well as affect future visa or residence applications.
2. How to work legally in Poland?
To work legally in Poland, the following process should be followed:
A. Get Work Permit:
Work Permit is mandatory for working in Poland.
For this a polish company should want you to get a job and register an application for the relevant work permit.
It is illegal to work without a work permit.
B. Get TRC (Temporary Residence Card) or Visa:
It is not possible to live and work in Poland based on Schengen resident card.
Working in Poland usually requires D-Type Work Visa or Temporary Residence Card.

Contact big social group or organization (e.g. NRNA) where Nepalese can share advice and experience.
This will help reduce the chances of fraud.
4. Some main attention should be paid for:
– Ensure legality: don’t work without a work permit.
– Travel permission is only: Not allowed to live or work for more than 90 days from resident card.
– Manage health insurance and other documents: health insurance, proof of address and bank statement required for residence according to the legal process.
– Avoid illegal agents: These agents are more likely to cheat.
