I traveled Switzerland on Nov. 2023 last year, was slightly different landscape with other countries.Â
Geneva, Switzerland
My traveling to Geneva, Switzerland was from Paris, France. Its road distance is 542 km far from Paris. I went to Bercy Seine bus terminal of Paris to go to Geneva, Switzerland. I reached the terminal around 9 pm because I bought a Flix bus ticket already, cost was 25 Euro. The bus departed at 10 pm for Geneva. Around 4 am, Switzerland boarder Immigration checked passports and ID cards with passengers. Gare Routière de Genève, bus terminal, I reached early in the morning. I waited the time until bright morning and then after I searched coffee shop. I found the best and beautiful coffee shop and entered inside the room. Bonjour! waiter came and greetings me. Que veux-tu? I said desole (sorry)! I could not understand French because I was from Nepal. I had learnt French a little bit in France before had been in Geneva. The waiter gave me a cup of coffee and a bread. I asked a bill of coffee and a bread, but surprising they did not accept Euro. I thought it that Schengen countries money are same. They showed money changer to change Euro to Swiss Franc. I waited until shop opened, it was time at 9 am. After payment, I explored near the city and a lake. Surprising many people were swimming early in the morning in cold lake’s water.
I visited Nepal embassy at 11 am and interacted with embassy staffs and locals who came to apply Nepal tourist visa. The locals were retired pensioners, wanted to help Nepal’s remote schools and orphanage homes. I stayed for 2 days there at hostel and explored Geneva city.
Zurich, Switzerland
I returned back to Paris, France after 2 days visit Geneva. I went to La Courneuve to find Nepalese community, met many Nepalese people there, students, businessmen and others. My flight was from Zurich for Nepal on 26 Nov. 2023. I went to Zurich on 25 Nov. by BlaBla bus from Bercy Seine bus terminal of Paris. The distance was 656 km from Paris to Zurich, Switzerland. When I reached Zurich bus terminal , there was heavy raining early in the morning and continue. My departure time was at 4 pm, had to go to Airport by metro. I used Tram for a while for Metro station. Switzerland’s Tram and Metro were really very expensive compare with other Schengen countries. Finally I reached the Kloten International Airport of Zurich, Switzerland, boarded on Qatar Airways and departed at 4 o’clock for Nepal via Qatar Airport. I landed at 9 am in Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. Thank God for safe flight to Nepal.
