Kathmandu, 12 March: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has urged French citizens to visit Nepal. Minister Pandey invited French citizens to visit Nepal at the ‘Nepal Evening’ program jointly organized in Paris by the Nepali Embassy in Paris, France, and the Nepal Tourism Board, his secretariat has stated.
Minister Pandey said, “We cordially invite all French citizens to visit Nepal. We request you to include Nepal in your travel list.”
Minister Pandey has expressed confidence that Nepal will be an unforgettable experience for tourists visiting the country, stating that it is a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, adventure sports and spirituality. He informed about the policies and programs adopted by the Nepal government for tourism promotion and said that Nepal is a safe and attractive destination.
Nepali Ambassador to France Sudhir Bhattarai said that Nepal-France relations are historic and expressed confidence that the experience of French citizens visiting Nepal will always be positive.
Deepak Raj Joshi, Executive Chief Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board, highlighted the initiatives taken to promote Nepal’s tourism and informed that attractive packages are available for tourists visiting Nepal.
The award was presented to Elisabeth Herzog, wife of the late Maurice Herzog, a famous French mountaineer. After receiving the award, Herzog spoke about his special relationship with Nepal and expressed his pleasant experiences during his visit to Nepal. The program was attended by about 60 tourism professionals, culture enthusiasts, and people interested in Nepal.
