Kathmandu, 14 June: Paramount Motors, the official distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has launched the new MG Comet EV in the Nepali market.
Designed with modern urban lifestyles in mind, this electric vehicle features a futuristic design, advanced technology, sustainable engineering, and excellent safety, all within a compact body that offers ample interior space.
Inspired by MG’s “Big Inside, Compact Outside” (BICO) design philosophy, the Comet EV has a seating capacity of four. Although it appears small from the outside, the company claims it offers a surprisingly spacious interior.
The 50:50 split rear seats increase travel comfort and make daily commuting, city travel, and short-distance trips easier.

It provides an ARAI-certified range of up to 230 kilometers on a single charge.
This battery, with an IP67 rating, is protected from dust and water and has successfully passed 39 safety tests.
The Comet EV features a 10.25-inch dual screen (infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster), which makes the interior modern and attractive. It also includes a smart key feature, enhancing the overall user experience.
The MG Comet EV comes with various safety features:
Dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, 3-point seatbelts in the front and rear, rear parking camera and sensors, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System – Indirect), child seat anchor, and 17 hot-stamped panels used in the car’s structure, which help improve strength and passenger safety.
This EV’s battery comes with a warranty of 8 years or 120,000 kilometers. The high-voltage components have a warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers.
MG service centers are available in major areas of Nepal including Kathmandu (Kusunti, Sukedhara), Bhaktapur, Biratnagar, Birtamod, Butwal, Bhairahawa, Dang, Pokhara, Birgunj, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi.
Charging stations are operating in Kathmandu, Birtamod, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Bardibas, Sindhuli, Pokhara, Kurintar, Mulkot, Butwal, Birgunj, Itahari, Janakpur, and Dhalkebar.
