Iran strikes Israel’s largest oil refinery with missile

Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel’s largest oil refinery.

According to reports, the missile struck the oil processing facility located in Haifa Bay in northern Israel last night.

Following the Iranian strike, a fire broke out at the refinery site, as reported by the American newspaper The New York Times.

Images and videos showing flames engulfing the area targeted by Iran’s missile strike have surfaced on social media. The New York Times reported that these visuals have been verified.

Following the attack, several people were trapped in the area, and Israeli emergency personnel were deployed through the morning to rescue them and control the fire.

Iran and Israel have been launching attacks against each other for the past four days.

Last night, Israel reportedly carried out strikes on 80 locations inside Iran. According to The New York Times, over 220 people — including high-ranking military officials, nuclear scientists, and civilians — were killed, and more than 1,200 were injured.

Meanwhile, Israel’s emergency service, Magen David Adom (MDA), confirmed that Iran had targeted four locations inside Israel in its overnight attack.

Several buildings in Tel Aviv and nearby areas sustained heavy damage from Iran’s missile attacks, with at least 14 people reported dead so far.

In Bat Yam, a coastal city south of Tel Aviv, several high-rise buildings collapsed during Saturday night’s strikes. More than 60 buildings in the area have been reported as damaged to varying degrees.

In retaliation, Israel said it directly targeted the command center of the Quds Force, the elite unit of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The command center, located in Tehran, is believed to have suffered some damage.

European and Middle Eastern nations have called on both sides to cease hostilities, warning that continued attacks could escalate regional tensions and potentially draw in other countries.

U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Iran to return to negotiations regarding its nuclear weapons program.
