“In Memory of Ganesh Rasik” Program Concluded in Belbari

Himangshu Ray:

Belbari-Morang,8 Jun: A special program titled “In Memory of Ganesh Rasik” was successfully held in Belbari, Morang. The event honored the life, personality, and contributions of the late lyricist, composer, singer, and senior creator Ganesh Rasik, conveying the message that writers and creators never truly die.

The program was organized with the belief that authors, creators, and artists live on eternally in people’s thoughts and emotions. Even though their physical bodies may rest in the earth, their works remain vibrant, timeless, and immortal. To emphasize this perspective, the event purposefully avoided traditional rituals such as offering garlands or vermillion to Rasik’s portrait. Additionally, no formal tributes or words of condolence were delivered throughout the program.

With enthusiastic participation from the students of Shiksha Sandesh English School, most speakers expressed the belief that Rasik’s immortality lies in his songs, music, and literature. They encouraged young students to learn from Rasik’s inspirational life and contribute meaningfully to society and the nation.

The program saw the presence of various literary and artistic figures including Ramesh Niraula, President of the Belbari Literature Development Committee; Rajesh Khatri, Principal of Shiksha Sandesh English School; Laxmi Prasad Phuyal, Secretary of the Art and Literature Promotion Committee in Pathari Shanishchare; along with Prince Pramod Dhakal, Som Prasad Bhattarai, Sijan Shrestha, Durga Kharel, Yadav Bhattarai, Khem Chandra Adhikari, Basu Adhikari, and Ekaraj Bhattarai.

A group of eighth-grade students from Shiksha Sandesh performed the heartfelt song “Malai Pyaro Lagchha.” Musical performances by Itaraj Limbu and Junu Budhathoki added to the tribute.
