Kathmandu, 14 Jul: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at NPR 136.99, and the selling rate at NPR 137.59. Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is NPR 160.14, while the selling rate stands at NPR 160.84. One British Pound Sterling is being bought at NPR 184.94 and sold at NPR 185.75, while the Swiss Franc is being bought at NPR 171.98 and sold at NPR 172.73.
For other currencies, the buying rate of one Australian Dollar is NPR 90.14 and the selling rate is NPR 90.53. One Canadian Dollar is bought at NPR 100.06 and sold at NPR 100.50. The buying rate of one Singapore Dollar is NPR 106.99 and the selling rate is NPR 107.46. For ten Japanese Yen, the buying rate is NPR 9.29 and the selling rate is NPR 9.33. Similarly, one Chinese Yuan is being bought at NPR 19.11 and sold at NPR 19.19. The Saudi Arabian Riyal has a buying rate of NPR 36.53 and a selling rate of NPR 36.69, while the Qatari Riyal is bought at NPR 37.58 and sold at NPR 37.75.
According to the central bank, the Thai Baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.22 and a selling rate of NPR 4.24. One UAE Dirham is bought at NPR 37.30 and sold at NPR 37.46. The Malaysian Ringgit has a buying rate of NPR 32.21 and a selling rate of NPR 32.36. For one hundred South Korean Won, the buying rate is NPR 9.93 and the selling rate is NPR 9.98. One Swedish Krona is bought at NPR 14.33 and sold at NPR 14.39, while the Danish Krone has a buying rate of NPR 21.46 and a selling rate of NPR 21.55.
The bank has also fixed the exchange rates for other major currencies. One Hong Kong Dollar is being bought at NPR 17.45 and sold at NPR 17.53. The Kuwaiti Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 448.12 and a selling rate of NPR 450.08. One Bahraini Dinar is bought at NPR 363.38 and sold at NPR 364.97. The Omani Riyal has a buying rate of NPR 355.84 and a selling rate of NPR 357.40.
In terms of the Indian currency, the buying rate for one hundred Indian Rupees has been fixed at NPR 160, while the selling rate is NPR 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has clarified that these rates may be revised at any time as per necessity. It has also been stated that commercial banks may have different rates, and the updated official rates can be found on the central bank’s website.
