Kathmandu, 8 May: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been fixed at Rs. 135.43, while the selling rate stands at Rs. 136.03.
The buying and selling rates for major international currencies have also been updated. One Euro is being traded at a buying rate of Rs. 153.95 and a selling rate of Rs. 154.63. The British Pound Sterling is being bought at Rs. 180.80 and sold at Rs. 181.60, while the Swiss Franc is quoted at Rs. 164.37 (buying) and Rs. 165.09 (selling).
Similarly, the Australian Dollar has a buying rate of Rs. 87.70 and a selling rate of Rs. 88.09. The Canadian Dollar is set at Rs. 98.19 for buying and Rs. 98.63 for selling. The Singapore Dollar stands at Rs. 104.92 (buying) and Rs. 105.39 (selling).
Among Asian currencies, 10 units of the Japanese Yen are being traded at Rs. 9.45 (buying) and Rs. 9.49 (selling), while the Chinese Yuan is fixed at Rs. 18.74 and Rs. 18.83, respectively. The Saudi Arabian Riyal has been set at Rs. 36.11 (buying) and Rs. 36.26 (selling), and the Qatari Riyal at Rs. 37.15 and Rs. 37.32.
The Thai Baht is being traded at Rs. 4.15 (buying) and Rs. 4.16 (selling), the UAE Dirham at Rs. 36.87 and Rs. 37.04, and the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs. 31.85 and Rs. 32.09. The rate for 100 units of South Korean Won is Rs. 9.73 (buying) and Rs. 9.78 (selling). Likewise, the Swedish Krona is fixed at Rs. 14.11 and Rs. 14.17, and the Danish Krone at Rs. 20.63 and Rs. 20.72.
In the Middle Eastern currency group, the Hong Kong Dollar is trading at Rs. 17.45 (buying) and Rs. 17.53 (selling), while the Kuwaiti Dinar has the highest rate at Rs. 441.74 and Rs. 443.70. The Bahraini Dinar is set at Rs. 359.20 (buying) and Rs. 360.79 (selling), and the Omani Riyal at Rs. 351.77 and Rs. 353.33.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian Rupees remains steady at Rs. 160.00 for buying and Rs. 160.15 for selling.

NRB has also noted that these exchange rates are subject to revision at any time based on necessity. It further clarified that commercial banks may set different rates, and updated rates are available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
