Kathmandu, December 17: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rate for today. According to the exchange rate fixed for today, the value of the US dollar seems to be continuously rising. The US dollar, UK pound sterling, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, Saudi Arabian riyal, Qatari riyal, UAE dirham, Kuwaiti dinar, South Korean won, Swedish kronor, etc. have increased in value. Similarly, the European euro has decreased in value.
According to the exchange rate set by the Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is 135 rupees and 49 paisa, and the selling rate is 136 rupees and 9 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one European Euro is set at 142 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate is 142 rupees 76 paisa, the buying rate of one UK Pound Sterling is set at 171 rupees 40 paisa and the selling rate is 172 rupees 16 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss Franc is set at 151 rupees 86 paisa and the selling rate is 152 rupees 53 paisa.
The central bank has set the buying rate of one Australian dollar at 86 rupees 8 paisa and the selling rate at 86 rupees 46 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 95 rupees 14 paisa and the selling rate at 95 rupees 56 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 100 rupees 36 paisa and the selling rate at 100 rupees 80 paisa.
Similarly, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been set at 8 rupees 81 paisa and the selling rate at 8 rupees 85 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Chinese yuan at 18 rupees 60 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 68 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Saudi Arabian riyal at 36 rupees 7 paisa and the selling rate at 36 rupees 22 paisa, and the buying rate of 1 Qatari riyal at 37 rupees 17 paisa and the selling rate at 37 rupees 33 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht has been set at 3 rupees 98 and and the selling rate at 3 rupees 99 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham at 36 rupees 89 paisa and the selling rate at 37 rupees 5 paisa, and the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit at 30 rupees 43 paisa and the selling rate at 30 rupees 56 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won is set at 9 rupees 44 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 48 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is set at 12 rupees 36 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 41 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is set at 19 rupees 6 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 14 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 43 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 50 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 440 rupees 20 paisa and the selling rate at 442 rupees 15 paisa, and the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 359 rupees 20 paisa and the selling rate at 360 rupees 79 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Omni riyal has been fixed at 351 rupees 92 paisa and the selling rate at 353 rupees 48 paisa. The buying rate of one Indian Rupee has been fixed at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as needed. It is stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
