This is a village which is considered to be important in terms of history and tourism. Ghale gao is situated at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, located in the lap of Lamjung and Annapurna Himal in the northern region of district, is in Kwolasodhar rural municipality-3.
Most tourists visit this village in the entire district. It is known as the country’s first smart village, a happy village and a model village in South Asia. Many Gurung villages in the district have potential for tourism. Among these, Ghale gao is known as a liberal village in the district by leaping forward in the field of tourism and different style. At the moment, local and homestay operators are looking for tourists. With the arrival of 200 to 300 tourists every day, it has become almost deserted after the arrival tourists have have decreased in the rainy season. That is why the homestay operators eager to welcome tourists with the end of rainy season.
