Gorkha, 22 Ashoj(Oct 8): Free surgery has been done for eye patients here. Gorkha Lions Eye Services Center conducted cataract surgery on 13 eye patients on Monday through cataract surgery camps in different municipalities of the district. Administrative officer of the center, Vishwaprakash Aryal, informed that six women and seven men were operated on. The center has conducted surgery camps for eye patients in Gorkha and Palungtar Municipalities and Barpak Sulikot and Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality.
Lions Service Center has been reaching out to various communities and schools within the district and distributing free eye examinations, medication and spectacles at the community level from time to time. At the camp, patients with cataract problems are brought to the center based on their needs and treated.
