Gandaki, 19 January: Today’s famous singers and actors Prakash Saput and Durgesh Thapa shared each other’s songs on Facebook last Tuesday. First, Saput posted Durgesh Thapa’s song ‘Dushman Hereko Herai…’ on Facebook and jokingly wrote, ‘Dai Bato Nachodne?’. Until then, Thapa’s song was at the top of YouTube trends.
Shortly after Saput’s Facebook post, Thapa also shared Saput’s song ‘Saanjh Paryo Jhamak…’ on his Facebook. Praising Saput, Thapa had written on Facebook, “We are all artists, brothers of the same family, it is our tradition to move forward together, best wishes for success to the brother.” As Thapa was writing this, Saput’s song ‘Saanjh Paryo Jhamak…’ was trending on YouTube in second place.
The way Saput and Thapa showed their good wishes and respect for each other, that is what happened in the end. Saput’s song rose to the first place on YouTube trending. Thapa’s song remained at the top of YouTube trending for a few days and managed to win the hearts of many viewers/audiences. The song, which is currently in second place, has garnered more than 6.1 million ‘views’. Saput’s song ‘Saanjh Paryo Jhamak…’, which is currently in first place on YouTube trending, has received more than 2.8 million ‘views’ so far.
The song, which is included in the first film ‘Basant’ directed by Saputu, who is also a film director, features the voices of Saput and singer Shantishree Pariyar. The film ‘Basant’ is set to release on Chaitra 22. The song, based on the culture of the Rodhi, gives a glimpse of the village environment. The lyrics and music of the song have also been composed by Saputu himself. He himself is seen as the main character in the film ‘Basant’.
