Kathmandu, 30 Sep: The youth uprising of September 8–9 (Bhadra 23–24) was more than an outburst of discontent; it was a defining moment when an entire generation stood up to challenge the old order. For far too long, Nepali society has been plagued by corruption, nepotism, inequality, and a lack of opportunity. These realities were no longer acceptable to young Nepalis who dream of a transparent, just, and prosperous nation. The sacrifices of martyrs, the wounds of the injured, and the pain carried by thousands of young citizens gave energy to this movement.
But the Gen-Z generation is not content to stop at rebellion. Our vision now extends beyond protest—we are determined to build a new Nepal. A corruption-free, transparent, self-reliant, and prosperous nation is the dream we share. Our priorities are clear: direct executive leadership, job creation, opportunities for youth, social justice, technology-driven development, and sustainable production.
The Path Toward a Self-Reliant Economy
Nepal is a country blessed with natural and cultural wealth. We have abundant water resources, fertile land, medicinal herbs, biodiversity, and world-renowned cultural treasures. Yet, instead of valuing these, we have become dependent on imports, undermining our own potential. This contradiction must end.
By increasing production, adopting modern technologies, and ensuring quality, Nepal can develop the capacity to export goods to international markets. Reducing import dependency should be a national priority. This means not only limiting foreign goods but also promoting Nepali products as the first choice. When citizens consume domestic goods, demand rises, production grows, and eventually the path to exports opens.
Nepal’s tea, coffee, herbs, garments, and agricultural products can become global brands. If marketed with quality and recognition, Nepal will not only achieve self-reliance but also contribute to the world economy. The problem is not a lack of productivity but weak management and vision. A shift in policy, transparency in systems, and investment in innovation are essential to unlock our true potential.

Social Unity and Inclusion
Nepal is a diverse nation of languages, cultures, and faiths. This diversity is our strength, not a weakness. We must protect and celebrate our ethnic and cultural heritage while fostering unity. True progress comes not from division but from cooperation and inclusivity.
At the same time, talent and merit must be valued above caste or religion. No one should lose opportunities due to social discrimination. Caste-based injustice, untouchability, and inequality remain wounds in our society. These wounds must be healed permanently if we are to move forward as one nation. Every Nepali must be bound together by a shared thread of unity, for unity is our greatest strength.
Harnessing Resources and Modern Opportunities
Though landlocked, Nepal is full of possibilities. By modernizing agriculture and developing tourism, we can make a giant leap forward economically. Our towering Himalayas are treasures admired globally. They must be protected from climate change while also serving as sustainable sources of income through eco-tourism and adventure.
Water resources are another priceless asset. With proper investment, they can power industries, provide irrigation, and create jobs. Achieving food self-sufficiency is within reach if we focus on modern agricultural practices. Beyond agriculture, Nepal’s youth hold enormous potential in the IT sector. With the right opportunities, they can compete globally and help position Nepal as a technology hub.
Addressing Youth Migration
One of Nepal’s greatest tragedies today is the mass exodus of its youth. The very generation that should be building the nation is forced to sweat in foreign lands, often out of necessity rather than choice. Why? Because corruption, favoritism, and lack of opportunity have left them no alternative.
The solution is not to stop youth from leaving but to create an environment where they are eager to return. Just as birds fly out in the morning and return to their nests in the evening, our youth must feel that Nepal is their home—a place where opportunities await. Job creation and an investment-friendly environment are the keys. Skilled youth must find employment on home soil. They should never be compelled by necessity to seek survival abroad.
A Call for Political Transformation
The Gen-Z movement has already shown its power by demanding an interim government. But the deeper demand is clear: Nepal needs direct executive elections and a zero-corruption policy. This is not a personal opinion but the collective call of a generation. People have already dismantled outdated systems, from the monarchy to corrupt practices. Why should corrupt leaders today be untouchable? Change is possible—and inevitable.
The sacrifices of martyrs and the wounded must not be forgotten. If their dreams are betrayed, another rebellion will rise. That is why direct elections for the executive leadership must happen without delay. The people must choose their leaders directly, for only then can there be true accountability.
Toward a Modern Nepal
Our priority is the construction of a modern Nepal. Investment must focus on education, health, energy, and technology with new ideas and determination. The time for empty speeches is over. We need practical action and bold reforms. If we cling to outdated approaches, history will condemn us just as it has condemned past leaders who failed to deliver.
When Nepalis unite against corruption, discrimination, and despair, only then will the country become prosperous and self-reliant.
Conclusion: A Pledge for the Future
I make this solemn pledge—to dedicate my life to five pillars: a self-reliant economy, social unity, opportunities for youth, zero corruption, and direct executive leadership. For these goals, I am prepared to sacrifice everything, even my life if necessary.
Nepal must rise on its own strength. When we remove discrimination, embrace cooperation, increase production, and open the door to new leadership, the day will come when Nepal stands proudly before the world. That is the day I long for. That is the day I live and fight for.
