Delhi Claims to Have Disabled Pakistan’s Air Defense System

India’s Ministry of Defence has claimed that under Operation Sindoor, it has “disabled” Pakistan’s air defense system based in Lahore.

In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry mentioned that during the operation carried out on May 7, several Pakistani air defense radars and systems were targeted.

In the statement, India’s Ministry of Defence said, “It has been reliably confirmed that the air defense system in Lahore has been neutralized.” The statement also reiterated a warning that any attack on military installations in India would be met with an appropriate response.

According to the statement, Pakistan attempted to carry out attacks in India’s northern and western regions using drones and missiles, but these attacks were reportedly neutralized by India’s integrated drone countermeasure system and air defense network.

India reiterated that it does not seek to escalate tensions, but it will respond firmly to protect its national security if necessary.

“We Shot Down 25 Israeli Drones”: Pakistan

Meanwhile, the Pakistani military has claimed it shot down 25 Israeli-made Harop drones sent from India.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, stated, “Using our technical capabilities and advanced weaponry, the Pakistani military intercepted and brought down 25 Israeli-manufactured Harop drones sent by India.”

The military further claimed, “On May 6, Pakistan’s retaliatory strike caused the destruction of five modern Indian fighter jets, several drones, and resulted in the deaths of some Indian soldiers, which has left India shaken.”
