Bagmati, 14 Ashoj(Sep 30): Three roads connecting Hetauda-Kathmandu and Hetauda-Dharan Chatra in Makawanpur, which were blocked due to landslides along with rain, have been opened. According to the District Police Office, the Hetauda-Vaise, Simbhanyang-Palung-Naubise and Madan Bhandari roads under the Tribhuvan Lokpath road and Hetauda-Sindhuli-Dharan Chatra road have been opened from this morning.
Similarly, the Hetauda-Vaise-Chitlang-Chandragiri-Kathmandu road under the Tribhuvan Lokpath road was operational from Sunday evening in a one-way manner. Police Inspector Thakur Prasad Sapkota, Acting Spokesperson of the District Police Office, informed that the road was opened after the landslides caused by the rain were removed. Under that road, the road was blocked due to a landslide in Thaha municipality-5 dam of Makwanpur. The road is still completely blocked due to landslides in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12 Ghattepakha and Lamrang, Aamchaur in Ward No. 11 of Kantilokpath road and the bridge of Bagmati River located in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 has been cut.
Police Inspector Sapkota said that the Kulekhani-Fakhel-Farping road was completely blocked due to a landslide in Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-3 Ramchandra Bhangyang under the Dakshinkali-Chaimale-Sisneri road. Police said that the Kulekhani-Sisneri-Farping road was completely blocked due to the flood in Simkhol in Lachka located in Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-2 Simkhola on the Dakshinkali-Chhaimale-Sisneri road section. Thankot-Kulekhani road is completely blocked due to landslide in Indrasarovar rural municipality-1 Simlang of Kulekhani-Markhu inner road section. Police inspector Sapkota informed that the road connecting Hetauda-Kulekhani was completely blocked due to landslides in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-4 Ratomate, Bhimphedi-6 Dhokaphedi. He said that work is going on to remove landslides on other blocked roads as well.
