Balen Shah

Balen Shah is popular name in Nepal. His real name is Balendra Shah. He was born on 27 April 1990 in Kathmandu, Nepal. His father’s name is Ram Narayan Shah and mother’s name is Dhruva Devi Shah. His family moved to Kathmandu from Mahottari before Balen was born. He was not known much before he became a mayor. He is a rapper but everyone does not hear rapper songs. He is not only rapper and mayor but he is composer, engineer and politician.

He completed higher secondary school from V.S. Niketan and primary school from Alliance Academic. He passed Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from White House college and master of Technology in Structural Engineering from India.

Engineering career

He worked in many projects as an engineer. He has own Construction company named “Balen Consulting and Construction Pvt. Ltd”. He has a good experience in Engineering. He can handle and develop in Construction sector.

Singing career

He is a rapper in Nepal. He sings rap songs and the people know him who love rap songs. I have mentioned his rap songs released on You Tube. His songs are Local Thito, Sadak Balak, Aam Nepali Buwa, Marphako Madira, Balidan, Timi phool and many more.

Political career

He was elected mayor in 2022 of Kathmandu Metropolitan city as independent candidate. If independent candidate win election in Kathmandu, it is surprising but Balen won. Even though the voters of UML and Congress are more in Kathmandu. It seems people are looking an educated and youth for Nepal. After Balen became a mayor, land mafia became extinct, he has been constantly clearing the lands of public. He has not left big post or small post to anyone. He has done very well. The small mistake there is the street business is throwing away with goods, not arranging another place and it seems that the place where poor eat has fallen. All people are not rich like him.
