Auditions for ‘My Voice Universe’ and ‘My Dance Universe’ begin in America

New York (USA): Auditions for Season 2 of the world-class Nepali singing and dancing reality shows ‘Mero Voice Universe’ and ‘Mero Dance Universe’, with the highest prize money, have begun in Ohio, USA.

These auditions, scheduled in 14 cities across 12 countries across five continents, began in Columbus, USA on January 25 and 26. The event was inaugurated by Dilli Adhikari, President of the organizing organization, Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation, amidst a ceremony featuring Nepali singing and dancing talents from the US and Canada.

The winner of both these shows, which will be a competition among Nepali artists spread across the world, will receive Rs 10 million, the runner-up Rs 2.5 million and the third place winner Rs 1 million. Addressing the ceremony organized on the occasion of the inauguration, Foundation Chairman Adhikari said that no matter where one lives in the world, one should continue to try to keep their original culture alive. He said that the invaluable culture of Nepalis has made them Nepali and informed that two world-class shows have been started to protect it.

He informed that the non-profit organization Foundation has been organizing these shows with the aim of transmitting Nepali culture to the next generation through songs, music and dance, strengthening the unity of Nepalis around the world through this medium, and connecting Nepalis with Nepal no matter where they live.

The auditions, which started in the US, will be held in London and Portugal in Europe, Tokyo in Japan, Hong Kong in China on February 15 and 16, while they will be held in Sydney in Australia on February 23, Bangkok in Thailand, and Dubai in the UAE on February 22 and 23. Similarly, auditions will be held in Doha, Qatar on February 21 and in Mumbai, India on March 1 and 2.

Similarly, after auditions were held in Siliguri, India on March 8 and 9, the foundation will fly the selected talents from around the world to Nepal at its own expense after auditions were held in four different cities of Nepal – Birtamod, Pokhara, Nepalgunj and Kathmandu – and will take the rest of the competition forward. It was also informed in the program that both shows will be broadcast on Nepal Television.

More than 60 singing and dancing talents from the US and Canada participated in the audition, and six have been selected for singing and five for dancing. The judges for the US field audition are senior musician Sushil Bishwakarma for singing, singers Keshav Poudel, Arjun Rasaili and musician Muskan Balampaki Magar, and dance stars Dilip Rayamajhi, Shankar Bisi, Rupesh Upreti and Parbati Rai.

During the program, Chairman Adhikari also informed that Omraj Gurung, a resident of Pennsylvania, has been appointed as the head of the Foundation’s Culture Department. On the day of the American auditions of Mero Dance Universe, students from Intra Dance School Columbus also performed attractive dances.
