Kathmandu, 18 June: An online registration form has been opened for the rescue of Nepalis in Israel and Iran. The Embassy of Nepal in Israel has called on Nepalis to fill out the online registration form for the purpose of rescue and repatriation.
Amid the recent developments in Israel, the embassy has started collecting information to assist Nepalis who are facing difficulties and fear, for rescue, repatriation, and other necessary support. Nepalis currently in Israel are requested to participate in the online registration process.
According to government data, there are currently around 5,500 Nepalis in Israel. As the conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies, the embassy has initiated the information collection process keeping in mind the safety of Nepali citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that there are 12 Nepalis in Iran. The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has decided to remain on standby for the safety and rescue of Nepalis. In an inter-ministerial and stakeholder meeting held at the Ministry of Labour on Tuesday, it was decided to stay prepared to carry out rescue operations immediately if necessary.

At least 585 people have died in Iran due to Israeli attacks, and around 1,326 others have reportedly been injured. According to a group of American human rights activists, the casualties include 239 civilians and 126 security personnel. The conflict between Iran and Israel has been ongoing for the past five days, and tensions escalated further on the sixth consecutive day.
On Wednesday morning, Iran launched two missile attacks on Israel within a few hours of each other.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Iran to surrender unconditionally. In response, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei posted on Twitter, stating that Iran will never agree to a peace deal with Israel and that the war has already begun.
