Kathmandu, 7 February: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for Friday. According to the Rastra Bank, the value of the US dollar has increased again compared to the previous day.
Today, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 139 rupees 83 paisa and the selling rate at 140 rupees 43 paisa. The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 144 rupees 96 paisa and the selling rate at 145 rupees 58 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been set at 173 rupees 78 paisa and the selling rate at 174 rupees 53 paisa, while the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been set at 154 rupees 49 paisa and the selling rate at 155 rupees 15 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at 87 rupees 64 paisa and the selling rate at 88 rupees 01 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 97 rupees 44 paisa and the selling rate at 97 rupees 86 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 103 rupees 36 paisa and the selling rate at 103 rupees 80 paisa. The buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen is 9 rupees 17 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 21 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese Yuan is 19 rupees 18 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 26 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian Riyal is 37 rupees 28 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 44 paisa, and the buying rate of one Qatari Riyal is 38 rupees 35 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 23 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 4 rupees 14 paisa and the selling rate is 4 rupees 16 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 38 rupees 07 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 23 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 31 rupees 53 paisa and the selling rate is 31 rupees 66 paisa, the buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees 65 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 69 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 81 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 86 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees 43 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 52 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 96 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 04 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 453 rupees 12 paisa and the selling rate at 455 rupees 06 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 370 rupees 90 paisa and the selling rate at 372 rupees 49 paisa, and the buying rate of one Omani rial at 363 rupees 18 paisa and the selling rate at 364 rupees 74 paisa.
Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees and 15 paisa respectively. The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as per the need. It is stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
