Kathmandu, February 06: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rates of foreign currencies for Thursday. According to the bank, the prices of foreign currencies including the US dollar, European euro and UK pound sterling have increased compared to the previous day.
Today, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 139 rupees 65 paisa and the selling rate has been fixed at 140 rupees 25 paisa. The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 145 rupees 49 paisa and the selling rate has been fixed at 146 rupees 11 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been set at 175 rupees 11 paisa and the selling rate at 175 rupees 87 paisa, while the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been set at 154 rupees 81 paisa and the selling rate at 155 rupees 47 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at 87 rupees 76 paisa and the selling rate at 88 rupees 14 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 97 rupees 72 paisa and the selling rate at 98 rupees 14 paisa, and the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 103 rupees 52 paisa and the selling rate at 103 rupees 97 paisa. The buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen is 9 rupees 14 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 18 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese Yuan is 19 rupees 20 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 28 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian Riyal is 37 rupees 23 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 39 paisa, and the buying rate of one Qatari Riyal is 38 rupees 30 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 47 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 4 rupees 16 paisa and the selling rate is 4 rupees 18 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 38 rupees 02 paisa and the selling rate is 38 rupees 18 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 31 rupees 58 paisa and the selling rate is 31 rupees 71 paisa, the buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees 67 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 71 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 81 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 87 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees 50 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 59 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 93 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 01 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 452 rupees 66 paisa and the selling rate at 454 rupees 60 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 370 rupees 41 paisa and the selling rate at 372 rupees 01 paisa, and the buying rate of one Omani rial at 362 rupees 69 paisa and the selling rate at 364 rupees 25 paisa.
Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees and 15 paisa respectively. The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as per the need. It is stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
