Kathmandu, 21 January: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the exchange rate of foreign currencies for today. As per the fixed exchange rate, the value of the US dollar has decreased today. As per the fixed exchange rate, the value of foreign currencies including the Euro, Pound Sterling, Swiss Franc has increased. While the value of some foreign currencies has remained stable, some have decreased.
According to the National Bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 138 rupees 22 paisa and the selling rate at 138 rupees 82 paisa. The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 142 rupees 67 paisa and the selling rate at 143 rupees 29 paisa, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been fixed at 168 rupees 66 paisa and the selling rate at 169 rupees 40 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at 151 rupees 31 paisa and the selling rate at 151 rupees 96 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 85 rupees 73 paisa and the selling rate at 86 rupees 10 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 95 rupees 55 paisa and the selling rate at 95 rupees 97 paisa, the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 101 rupees 31 paisa and the selling rate at 101 rupees 75 paisa.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 8 rupees 84 paisa and the selling rate is 8 rupees 88 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese yuan is 18 rupees 90 paisa and the selling rate is 18 rupees 98 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian riyal is 36 rupees 84 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees, and the buying rate of one Qatari riyal is 37 rupees 92 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 79 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 4 rupees and 4 paisa and the selling rate is 4 rupees and 5 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 37 rupees and 63 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees and 79 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 30 rupees and 76 paisa and the selling rate is 30 rupees and 90 paisa, the buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is 9 rupees and 53 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees and 57 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees and 40 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees and 45 paisa ,the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees and 12 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees and 21 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 76 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 83 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 448 paisa and the selling rate at 449 rupees 94 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 366 rupees 66 paisa and the selling rate at 368 rupees 25 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 359 rupees 8 paisa and the selling rate at 360 rupees 64 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Indian rupee has been fixed at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as per the need. It is stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
