Kuwait, 24 May: The 9th Grand Blood Donation Program Organized by Tamu Society Kuwait Concludes Successfully
With the noble aim and humanitarian spirit of “Blood Donation is Life Donation,” the Tamu Society Kuwait successfully organized its 9th Grand Blood Donation Program on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya, Kuwait.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Nepali community living in Kuwait. A total of 129 volunteers donated blood during the program, including 99 male and 30 female donors.
The program was chaired by Tamu Society Kuwait President Ranjana Gurung and was graced by Chief Guest Sujanee Rana, Counselor at the Nepali Embassy in Kuwait. Special guests included NRNA Kuwait President Ranadhwaj Lama, Dr. Ahmed Aly representing the Central Blood Bank Kuwait, Ekaraj Malla, President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Kuwait, and Amrit Tamang, President of the Federation of Indigenous Nationalities Kuwait.
Also present were representatives from various Nepali organizations active in Kuwait, along with businessmen, journalists, artists, athletes, intellectuals, social workers, and many volunteer donors.
The program officially commenced at 2 PM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony jointly led by the chairperson, chief guest, and special guests.
During her speech, Chief Guest Counselor Sujanee Rana emphasized the importance of blood donation and thanked all Nepalis involved in such a humanitarian act. She also highly praised Tamu Society Kuwait for organizing this noble initiative.

Dr. Ahmed Aly (Central Blood Bank), Ranadhwaj Lama (NRNA Kuwait), Ekaraj Malla (Journalist Federation), and Amrit Tamang (Indigenous Nationalities Federation) also shared their congratulatory messages and goodwill remarks during the event.
The formal program was hosted by former Tamu Society President Raju Gurung. Addressing the gathering, current President Ranjana Gurung highlighted the significance of blood donation, especially its direct link with saving lives. She reiterated that Tamu Society Kuwait is committed to raising awareness among Nepalis and inspiring participation in humanitarian causes like blood donation. She extended heartfelt gratitude to the Nepali Embassy, various organizations, media, supporters, and all blood donors for their active participation and support in making the event a grand success.
She also mentioned that the society has been actively helping patients in need of blood in Kuwait through this initiative.
Special contributions in making the event successful came from former NRNA Kuwait president and businessman Sujan KC, social worker Kiran Ale Magar, advisor Suman Gurung, and member Kesh Gurung. The event also saw significant institutional participation from Jamat Nepal Kuwait Sarokar Samaj Pariwar, a youth-based Nepali organization in Kuwait.
