World Music Day

Kathmandu, 21 June: On the occasion of World Music Day 2082/Asar 7 (June 21, 2025), a special event titled “Respect for Music and Creators” was successfully held. The main organizer of the event was Fairyland Apsarabhumi Boarding School, with Shyamkaji Sunar serving as the program coordinator and host Sanjok Kalikote was the event organizer in Lazimpat, Kathmandu.

The program featured musical performances and the honoring of artists and creators as its main highlights. Among those honored were veteran actor Harihar Sharma, veteran artist Shakuntala Gurung Sharma, President of the Nepal Film Producers Association Rajkumar Rai, Mukunda Kishor Bhatta, Shyam Kaji, Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, Dinesh Udas Tuladhar, artist Harimaya Gurung, veteran singer Bunu Rai, and emerging singer Simon Khadka, among others.

The event took place at Paradise Garden Hotel, Gairidhara, with veteran actor Harihar Sharma attending as the chief guest.

The event’s main highlights were the musical performances and the honoring of various artists and creators. Among the distinguished guests were veteran musician Harihar Sharma, veteran musician Shakuntala Gurung Sharma, President of the Nepal Film Producers Association Rajkumar Rai, as well as Mukunda Kishor Bhatta, Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, Dinesh Udas Tuladhar, artist Harimaya Gurung, veteran singer Bunu Rai, and emerging singer Simon Khadka, among others.

The event hall was filled with joy and delight as the young students of Fairyland Boarding School sang sweet and melodious songs, adding a lively charm to the program.

Fairyland Apsara Bhumi Boarding School successfully organized a grand felicitation program for artists on the occasion of World Music Day in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The event was jointly organized with media partners Global Online Television and Kathmandu Nagarik Aawaj.
