US President Donald Trump has called Wednesday’s military parade in Beijing a conspiracy against the United States.
China held a grand ceremony in Beijing on Wednesday morning, including a military parade, to celebrate the end of World War II.
The military parade saw Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un appear on the same stage for the first time. Iranian President Masoud Peshmerga was also present.
Trump invited Russian President Putin to his home country on August 15 to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. But a ceasefire has not yet been reached. Trump’s two-week ultimatum to sit down at the negotiating table for a ceasefire is about to expire.
North Korea has been providing troops and weapons to Russia to fight against Ukraine. The US relationship with North Korea has long been strained.
The trade war between the US and China reached its peak shortly after Trump took office as president.
A few months ago, the United States, in collaboration with Israel, carried out a powerful bombing attack on Iran.
After the leaders of the four countries, which have acrimonious relations, attended the Beijing parade shoulder to shoulder, Trump called it a conspiracy against the United States, CNN reported.
On his Truth Social account, Trump wrote:
“Best wishes to President Xi and the wonderful people of China on this day of long-lasting happiness. Please also extend my greetings to Putin and Kim Jong-un, who are conspiring against America.”
Trump also wrote that the United States has made a great contribution to making China free.
“The big question is whether President Xi remembers the help and sacrifices that America has given,” Trump added.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also traveled to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
There, he held separate, lengthy discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Images of Xi, Putin, and Modi walking side by side caused a stir in the United States. Recently, the U.S. imposed a 50 percent tariff on India, accusing it of helping Russia in the Ukraine war by buying Russian oil.
Analysts say that despite the steep tariff, Modi gave no direct response to the U.S., but instead appeared to be expanding ties with China and Russia, which is seen as a move against America.
Washington analysts argue that these nations are forming a polarized front against the U.S.
However, according to CNN, Trump has said he is not worried about this.
In an interview on the Scott Jennings Show on Tuesday morning, Trump said no country would dare attack America.
“We have the most powerful military in the world. They will never attack us. If they do, it will be their final mistake,” CNN quoted him as saying.
