Kathmandu, 20 December: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the exchange rates of foreign currencies for Friday. According to the fixed rates, the prices of US dollar, Saudi Arabian riyal, Qatari riyal, UAE dirham, Hong Kong dollar, Kuwaiti dinar have increased. Similarly, the prices of European euro, UK pound sterling, Canadian dollar, Singapore dollar, Japanese yen, Thai baht, Malaysian ringgit, South Korean, Swedish kronor have decreased.
The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 135 rupees 82 paisa and the selling rate at 136 rupees 42 paisa. The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 141 rupees 39 paisa and the selling rate at 142 rupees 01 paisa, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been fixed at 171 rupees 65 paisa and the selling rate at 172 rupees 41 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at 151 rupees 59 paisa and the selling rate at 152 rupees 26 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 84 rupees 88 paisa and the selling rate at 85 rupees 26 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar at 94 rupees 40 paisa and the selling rate at 94 rupees 82 paisa, the buying rate of one Singapore dollar at 100 rupees 01 paisa and the selling rate at 100 rupees 45 paisa. The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at 8 rupees 65 paisa and the selling rate at 8 rupees 69 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Chinese yuan at 18 rupees 61 paisa and the selling rate at 18 rupees 70 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Saudi Arabian riyal at 36 rupees 15 paisa and the selling rate at 36 rupees 31 paisa, the buying rate of 1 Qatari riyal at 37 rupees 26 paisa and the selling rate at 37 rupees 43 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is 3 rupees 94 paisa and the selling rate is 3 rupees 95 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham is 36 rupees 98 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 14 paisa, the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit is 30 rupees 15 paisa and the selling rate is 30 rupees 28 paisa, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won is 9 rupees 38 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 42 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 33 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 38 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 18 rupees 95 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 03 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 48 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 56 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 440 rupees 97 paisa and the selling rate at 442 rupees 92 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 360 rupees 07 paisa and the selling rate at 361 rupees 66 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 353 rupees 78 paisa and the selling rate at 354 rupees 34 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one Indian rupee has been set at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as needed. It is also stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
