Kathmandu, 7 January: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rates of foreign currencies for today. The value of the US dollar has increased as per the exchange rate set by the central bank, while the value of most foreign currencies has increased today.
The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at 137 rupees 3 paisa and the selling rate at 137 rupees 63 paisa. The buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at 142 rupees 68 paisa and the selling rate at 143 rupees 31 paisa, the buying rate of one UK pound sterling has been fixed at 171 rupees 78 paisa and the selling rate at 172 rupees 53 paisa, and the buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at 151 rupees 91 paisa and the selling rate at 152 rupees 57 paisa.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at 86 rupees 8 paisa and the selling rate at 86 rupees 9 paisa, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar has been set at 95 rupees 67 paisa and the selling rate at 96 rupees 9 paisa, the buying rate of one Singapore dollar has been set at 100 rupees 69 paisa and the selling rate at 101 rupees 13 paisa.
The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is 8 rupees 71 paisa and the selling rate is 8 rupees 75 paisa, the buying rate of one Chinese yuan is 18 rupees 71 paisa and the selling rate is 18 rupees 79 paisa, the buying rate of one Saudi Arabian riyal is 36 rupees 49 paisa and the selling rate is 36 rupees 65 paisa, and the buying rate of one Qatari riyal is 37 rupees 59 paisa and the selling rate is 37 rupees 75 paisa.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht has been set at 3 rupees 98 paisa and the selling rate at 3 rupees 99 paisa, the buying rate of one UAE dirham at 37 rupees 31 paisa and the selling rate at 37 rupees 47 paisa, and the buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit at 30 rupees 38 paisa and the selling rate at 30 rupees 51 paisa. The buying rate of one hundred South Korean won is set at 9 rupees 40 paisa and the selling rate is 9 rupees 44 paisa, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is 12 rupees 45 paisa and the selling rate is 12 rupees 51 paisa, and the buying rate of one Danish kronor is 19 rupees 13 paisa and the selling rate is 19 rupees 22 paisa.
The National Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at 17 rupees 63 paisa and the selling rate at 17 rupees 70 paisa, the buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar at 444 rupees 59 paisa and the selling rate at 446 rupees 54 paisa, the buying rate of one Bahraini dinar at 363 rupees 50 paisa and the selling rate at 365 rupees 9 paisa, the buying rate of one Omani rial at 355 rupees 92 paisa and the selling rate at 357 rupees 48 paisa. Similarly, the buying rate of one hundred Indian rupees has been set at 160 rupees and the selling rate at 160 rupees 15 paisa.
The National Bank has stated that this exchange rate can be revised at any time as needed. It is also stated that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ and the updated exchange rate will be available on the central bank’s website.
