The Majphant-Lekphant road connecting Parbat and Myagdi is passing through black paper

Myagdi, 16 October: The road from Beni to Nagi-Ramche of Annapurna Rural Municipality-8 through Jaljala Rural Municipality of Parvat is being blacked out. As part of the federal government’s ‘One Constituency One Strategic Road’ project, black paper has been laid in the Mallaj to Lekphant section of Jaljala Rural Municipality of Parbat. Ekindra Khatri, Ward President of Jaljala Rural Municipality-3, informed that ‘prime’ and ‘first coat’ have been laid to blacken another two kilometers of the road from health post at Bhurtula in Mallaj to Bhuwanipani.

He said that an agreement has been signed for 330 million rupees to upgrade 7.8 km of road from Bhurtula in Majhphant to Giddeshwar area in Lakephant along with DBSD technology. The two-lane road has sloped more than one kilometer. In addition to the extension of 6 kilometers and 800 meters, the construction of the protection wall and drains for water drainage have also been completed. One kilometer road towards Giddeshwar has yet to be widened. Meanwhile, Jaljala Rural Municipality has informed that Rs. 50 lakh has been allocated in the current financial year to upgrade the difficult areas of Beni-Bhurtula section along with road slopes.
