Kathmandu, 9 February: A collection of stories ‘Muna Madan’s Divorce Party’ written by journalist Deepak Samir has been released. On Saturday, at the Parijat Hall of Nepal Pragya Bhavan in Kamaladi, Public Broadcasting Service Nepal Chairman Dr Mahendra Bista, member Phulman Bal, writer Dr Geeta Tripathi, writer Samir and others jointly released the collection of stories. Writer Samir said that he has collected stories, songs and ghazals and brought them in the form of a book for the first time.
He said, “I have compiled the stories I have written at various times and created a book. Since this is my first attempt, there may be some shortcomings, but I have created it with honesty. It will always be important to me.”
He said that it was possible to climb the first step of his writing journey with the support of his family and his own perseverance. On his birthday, Indigo Inc. has launched the story collection ‘Muna Madan’s Divorce Party’ in the market. Reviewing the book at the event, Dr. Tripathi said that the first attempt is welcome.
“The author’s imagination has added a lot. Since this is the first collection of stories, some of the shortcomings can be overlooked. There is diversity in the stories in it,” said literary figure Dr. Tripathi.
Dr. Bista, Chairman of Public Broadcasting Service Nepal, wished him well as he moves forward by balancing his journey as a writer with his media career. He said, “Since he is a good journalist, I am confident that he will move forward in a balanced manner while increasing his profile as a writer. His stories are diverse and interesting. In addition to satirizing social evils, they have also raised awareness about them.”

Similarly, Bal, a member of the Public Broadcasting Service Nepal, praised the storyteller Sameer, stating that he understood him as a writer in the style of Kumar Nagarkoti, calling him a storyteller who could weave stories in small plots. The program was attended by litterateurs, poets, and media personnel.
